About Paragon Software Engineering Inc.

Founded over three decades ago, Paragon Software Engineering Inc. has been at the forefront of providing innovative software support for Red River Army Depot's Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). Our journey began with custom-built software on an HP Nonstop (Tandem) mainframe, orchestrating two ASRS systems across multiple factory floor buildings. These systems featured multiple automated cranes on one ASRS system and manned semi-automated vehicles on the other, all working in conjunction to store and retrieve pallets from space-efficient high-rise storage locations. This seamless integration ensured efficient receiving, picking, and kitting of essential parts for armored vehicles and tanks.

With adaptability as our core strength, we not only maintained and supported the existing systems but constantly evolved our solutions to meet the dynamic needs of Red River. Integrating with key divisions of the US Army, including the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and the Dematic API for controlling autonomous vehicles and cranes, we ensured synchronized operations and fortified military preparedness.

Over the last eight years, Paragon underwent a transformative phase. Led by a dedicated team of engineers, we rewrote the legacy mainframe software using newer technologies like Java, JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, JBoss, Redhat, and MSSQL. This transition was not just a technological advancement but a reimagining of user experience, all aligned with the STIG security guidelines.
